Ronald Famous

July 27, 1953 — April 23, 2021

Ronald L. Famous, 67, loving husband of Donna M. (Karkoska) Famous of Charlestown died at home on Friday April 23, 2021.

Born on July 27, 1953 in Phoenixville, PA he was a son of the late Richard L. and Mary A. (McGranahan) Famous.

In addition to his beloved wife Donna, he is survived by six daughters:  Natalie Famous (Steven De Prado), Michell Famous (Norman Leeser), Rachell Townsend (Charles), Danielle Famous (Ryan Carver), Katrina Famous (Neil Belcher) and Olivia Famous (Wyatt Jershky); 20 grandchildren: one great granddaughter; his best friend for life, Wayne Wadsworth, and a countless number of family and friends.  He was preceded in death by two brothers: his twin Donald Famous and Richard Famous.

Ron started working for Famous-Oliver Construction, then went on to Phoenix Steel Corp, B.F. Goodrich, then started his own masonry business.  He was a member of the Kimberton Rod & Gun Club, the Valley View Lodge and had been a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church.

Ron was a builder – with stones, hands and heart, he built his home and his family and a life that included so many people and so much love and joy. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, fixing any mower or small engine that found its way to his shed, scratching off too many lottery tickets, and listening to loud music on his headphones while singing along. Dancing in his living room with his wife and daughters was a great joy in his life, and when he started laughing we all laughed with him. Each and every grandchild had a nickname and brought endless joy to his life; but his greatest joy and love in life was and is his Wife. Theirs was a love rare to find, lasting eternally.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.  His Funeral Service and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Ron and Donna’s grandson Finnley, may be sent to the Down Syndrome Foundation at www.downsyndromefoundation.org
