Ronald Chermak

Ronald E. Chermak, 82, husband of Joyce A. (Schaffer) Chermak of Douglassville, PA, formerly of Phoenixville, PA died on Monday, April 27, 2020 at home.

Born on January 17, 1938 in Phoenixville, PA he was the son of the late George and Susan (Bukosky) Chermak.

He worked briefly at Phoenix Steel prior to accepting a position with the Phoenixville Police Department, where he served faithfully for 41 years.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Birdsboro, PA, former member of St. Mary of the Assumption in Phoenixville, PA, Boy Scout leader at St. Ann Catholic Church for special needs children, Lower Pottsgrove Sportsman Club, Phoenixville Police Association, and NRA.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, flea markets, yard sales, eBay selling, and collectibles.

He will be remembered as a loving family man, great sense of humor, and compassion for others.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 5 sons and 1 daughter:

Rick husband of Kathy Chermak;

Gary husband of Kelli Chermak;

Chris husband of Lori Chermak;

Katie wife of Don Kercher;

Mike husband of Stacey Chermak.

10 Grandchildren, Jess, Jon, Nicole,

Carly, Drew, Justine, Donny, Kaylynn, Cole, and Maddie.

1 Great-granddaughter, Marletta.

Brother, Tom Chermak.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sister, George, Bob, Len, Gene, and Janice.

A Graveside Service will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, 305 W. Pothouse Road, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 10:00 am.  Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

A Celebratory Mass will be announced at a later date.
