Phidella Natale

Phidella (Vangel) Natale, 89, of Royersford, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late James Natale, who died in 1983.

Born July 24, 1931 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Thimi and Eftali Vangel.

Phidella was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School and completed her training at the National School of Nursing in 1949. She was employed as an LPN for many years and spent most of her career at Phoenixville Hospital.

She was a former parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Royersford, and was active in St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church of Valley Forge. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and was especially fond of her time spent with the St. Sophia Senior Group.

Phidella also enjoyed baking, reading, and trips to Shady Maple in Lancaster.

She is survived by three sons:

John Natale;

James husband of Sherri Natale;

Pete husband of Kellie Natale;

Grandchildren, Anthony (Kelsey); Nicholas; Matthiew; and Meganne

Sister, Joyce Vlassopoulos

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Eleanor Vangel (Spiro); Dimitre Vangel; Lazar Vangel; Thomas Vangel; Pandora Vangel; and Izmini Vangel.

Relatives and Friends may attend her Funeral Service in St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church of Valley Forge, 900 S Trooper Rd, Jeffersonville, PA 19403 on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery

A viewing will be held in church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
