Lucia Valerino, an interior designer died on April 23, 2020, at the age of 76 in Phoenixville, PA from complications of Dementia.   Born September 28, 1943 in Syracuse, New York, Lucy lived in many places throughout the country and traveled the world.  She spent a large part of her life in the Philadelphia area.

Lucia is survived by her two daughters, Emily (Todd ) of King of Prussia, PA and Christine (Bruce)of Cuenca, Ecuador.  Two granddaughters, Esther and Elizabeth (Josh) and a great-grandson, Elliott.  She is also survived by a sister Carole Bastien, and two brothers, Daniel Valerino and Robert Valerino.

Lucy is preceded in death by her parents Carole Nicosia, her stepfather Ben Nicosia, her father Daniel Valerino, and her sister Dianne DeMaio.

Lucy had a natural eye for style and was able to use that gift towards a successful career.  She received a degree in interior design by Harcum University, was an entrepreneur in her field, and later was employed at Stickley furniture, both in Canandaigua, NY and White Plains, NY, before retiring.

Lucy loved God, family, and friends.  In every town in which she lived, she was active in faith and fellowship.  In her declining years, Lucia was a favorite of her caretakers and nurses due to her kind heart and sweet demeanor.  She will be greatly missed but we are excited for her next step in her journey.

Due to the restrictions from the Coronavirus, there will be no public memorial.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take this time to treasure being confined with loved ones.
