Louise N. Vance, 91, wife of the late Francis S. Vance of Kimberton, PA died on Sunday evening, September 6, 2020 in Phoenixville Hospital.
Born on April 11, 1929 in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Swetonich) Psota.
Louise worked as a Registered Nurse at Norristown State Hospital, Chicago Hines VA, Pottstown Hospital, and Pennhurst State School.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church in Mont Clare, the Phoenixville Hospital Auxiliary, and Soroptimist International.
She is survived by: nephew, David and wife Linda Uhas; niece, Lisa Moser; brother-in-law, Thomas and wife Sharon Vance; niece, Katie and husband Chuck Grohoski, niece, Kristen and husband Brad Schott, nephew, Michael and wife Amy Uhas; and grandnieces and nephews, Anna and Ryan Grohoski and Emily Schott. She is survived by additional nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers: Kathryn, Edward, John, Anna, and Bernardine.
Louise was a fascinating woman. She enjoyed a good meal, a sunny day on the beach, the morning crossword puzzle, her cat Daisy, volunteering, and spending time with her family. She was always dressed to impress and always added joy and humor to any gathering with her sweet laugh and amusing anecdotes of traveling, nursing, and experiencing history. Through her volunteer efforts at Phoenixville Hospital and St. Michael’s Church, she will leave a legacy of kindness. She will be missed terribly and remembered fondly as Weezie, a generous friend, wise matriarch, and admirable role model.
A viewing will be held at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 8:15 to 9:15am.
Divine Liturgy and Burial Service will be held in St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, Amelia and Landis Streets, Mont Clare, PA at 10:00 am. Attendance at the church is limited. Please RSVP for the Liturgy on this website under Services at the end of this page.
Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Stowe, PA Masks required and distance guidelines are to be observed.
