Iwan Iwanciw

Iwan "John" Iwanciw, 90, husband of Olga (Brodycz) Iwanciw of Phoenixville, PA died on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Phoenixville Hospital.

Born on July 7, 1929 in Hryhoriw, Ukraine he was the son of the late Hryhorij and Paraskevia (Konopka) Iwanciw.

He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He was a Steelworker at Phoenix Steel Corp for 30 years.

He was an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church and sang in the choir, and a member of the former Ukrainian Club in Phoenixville.

John was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing, reading, playing chess, and WWE wrestling.

John loved his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 daughters:

Roma wife of John Weisner;

Z. Regina wife of David Donald;

Natalie wife of Brad Okoniewski.

9 Grandchildren, Daniel, Nicholas, Andrew, Laura, Julia, Emily, Caroline, Will, and Erin.

Nieces and nephews in the Ukraine.

He was preceded by his brother, Michael Iwanciw.

A private Funeral Service and burial will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
