Arnold and Rose Lureen after nearly 69 years of marriage, Arnold H. Lureen (“Dubby”), 89, and Rose A. Lureen, 89, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully within hours of each other on April 10th and 11th, 2020.  Rose Arlene (Posta) Lureen was born in Phoenixville, PA on January 12, 1931 to Henry and Grace (Metzgar) Posta.  She graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1948 and was united in marriage to Arnold H. Lureen on September 1, 1951.  In addition to caring for her home and family, Rose worked at A. P. Desanos & Sons in Phoenixville and the historic Colonial Theater as a cashier.  She was a caring person who always found a way to help others.  She loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s events and enjoyed working in her flower and rock gardens.  Arnold Harold Lureen, known to all as Dubby, was born in Tintah Village, Traverse County, Minnesota on August 8, 1930 to Oscar and Othelia (Fonnest) Lureen. He was issued a High School Equivalence Certificate from Browns Valley High School after successfully passing the USAFI GED Test while serving his country as a Sergeant in the Korean War.  He was awarded a Purple Heart for wounds received in action at Heart Break Ridge, North Korea and was honorably discharged in July 17, 1953.  Dubby worked for 30 years at the BFGoodrich Company in Oaks, PA as a Plant Manager.  He later worked as a Security Guard for Decision One in Great Valley, PA until his retirement.  Rose and Dubby were avid sports fans and loved attending Mass at St. Ann Parish where they were long time active members.  Grateful for having shared in their lives, they are survived by, a son Brian K. Lureen and his wife Joan, their grandchildren, Alex and Daria Lureen.  A granddaughter, Michelle L. Adelsberger and her husband Kirk, great-grandchildren Kevin, Kelley and Konnor Adelsberger; along with other relatives and friends.  They were preceded in death by their parents; siblings; and their daughter, Deborah C. Wassel and her husband J. Scott Wassel.  Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family through the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home at www.gatchafuneral.com.  A visitation will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, July 22, 2021, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Chapel located at 604 Main St. Phoenixville, PA  19460; followed by burial at St. Ann’s Cemetery located on W. Pothouse Road, Phoenixville, PA  19460.
