Willis "Skeebe" Foreman

Willis "Skeebe" Foreman, 87, husband of Sylvia May (Miller) Foreman of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024.  Born on May 19th, 1936 in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Willis D. Foreman and Willabel (Bearden) Foreman.

"Skeebe", as he was known by most family and friends, was a graduate of Phoenixville High School's class of 1955, where he ran track and played both basketball and football.  After graduation, he began employment with Phoenix Steel, until he was drafted into the U.S. Army ('59-'61).  He served proudly in Munich Germany until his Honorable discharge.  Upon his return, he continued his employment with Phoenix Steel until it's closing in 1987.  He later worked at Cowan Cadillac in Phoenixville until retirement in 1995.

He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Phoenixville, and also the Police Athletic League (PAL) as a board member and coach.

In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by:  1 Uncle, Fred Bearden, and a Brother-in-Law, David Miller.  June Boswell, Jay Winston, Vickie Haynes, Janay Winston and Trey Winston who were like children to him, and a host of cousins' and friends.

He was preceded in death by step-sister, Ruth Armstrong.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at Bethel Baptist Church, 412 Fairview Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:30 am.

Burial will follow in Morris Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Phoenixville Police Athletic League, P.O. Box 221, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
