Sylvia J. Houff

Sylvia J. (Spengler) Houff, 87, wife of the late Albert Houff died on Friday evening, July 25, 2025 in Paoli Hospital.

Born on February 28, 1938 in Fleetwood, PA she was the daughter of the late Arthur Deville and Julia Marie (Conrad) Spengler.

Sylvia worked as a machinist at Bowmar Harrow in West Chester. She loved going to Bethany Beach, DE and playing golf.

She is survived by two sons: Huston J. Mattson III and wife Lori, Glenn Mattson and wife Grace; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; brother, Arthur Spengler; sisters: Gloria Ford and Kathleen Wachsmuth and husband Albert; many nieces and nephews; long time companion, Steve Wallace; Step-children: Sylvia, Shelly and Susie.

She was preceded in death by her children: Dianne DeForrest, Robin Thomas, Joel Mattson, Kirtus Mattson, and Desiree Smith.

Relatives and friend are invited to attend her Graveside Service in Philadelphia Memorial Park, 124 Phoenixville Pike, Malvern, PA on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 11:00 am.
