Roy A. Hunsicker, Jr. Obituary

Roy A. Hunsicker, Jr., 78, beloved husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Roy shared 34 wonderful years of marriage with his adored wife, Lois (Yednock)Hunsicker. He was a loving and dedicated father to his four daughters: Janice Ingram (Gary, deceased), Lori Howell (Michael), Paula Errington (Scott, Sr.), and Alyson Hepler (Robert).

He was a proud grandfather to Jacklyn Christ (Dylan), Haley Bozzelli (John), Paul Ingram, Michael Howell (Jenna), Marcus Howell (Hannah), Scott Errington Jr. (Heather), Tyler Errington (Ashley), Brandon Altieri, Lauren Keim (Zachary), and Grace Hepler, and a loving great-grandfather to thirteen beautiful great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who brought him great joy.

Born and raised in Norristown, PA, Roy was the son of the late Roy A. Hunsicker, Sr. and Esther (Litka) Hunsicker. He graduated from Norristown High School, Class of 1965, and later made his home in Linfield, PA, where he lived for the past 16 years.

Roy is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Montgomery (Frank, deceased) and Barbara Jeffries (Herbert). He was preceded in death by half-brothers Donald Burger (Evelyn) and T. Glenn Burger (Diane).

Roy will be remembered for his calm presence, kind heart, and unwavering loyalty as a friend. He formed lasting friendships throughout his life and treasured time spent playing pinochle, solving daily cryptograms, golfing, and watching beautiful sunsets with his wife. He was known for his warm personality, gentle demeanor, and his impressive, “Jeopardy-worthy” knowledge, which he loved sharing with others.

Roy dedicated 34 years of his career as a technician, working for Western Electric, AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and Agere Systems before retiring.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Service in the Devlin-Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 at 11 AM on Monday, April 20, 2026.

Visitation will be held in the Funeral Home from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
