Rosemarie A. Wood

Rose Marie A. Wood passed away on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025, in her daughter’s home in Pennsylvania.

Born on December 8, 1941, in Summit, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Dora DiCamillo.

She is survived by her two children: Sandra A. Murphy and Frank T. Wood as well as three grandchildren: Kelly Edward Murphy, Kassidy Marie Murphy, and Christopher Wood. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Michael F. Wood.

Rose Marie: “Ro”, as many loved to call her, was a strong, resilient, intelligent, caring, loving, and kind person.

She was more than just a mom and grammy, she was a role model and friend to many, and a cheerleader for all. She loved lending a helping hand to anyone in need.

You could find her through the years cruising around in her many convertibles. She loved to entertain, shop, and spend time with friends and family. She loved to decorate all her houses from Gillette, New Providence, Manahawkin, Phoenixville, and her favorite place, where she found her happiness, in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She was incredibly proud of her condo in Cape Canaveral where she put herself into every piece of it.

She loved creating memorable holidays, hosting family and friends at the beach, lagooning on her boat and taking trips to Atlantic City. The shore house was always full of laughter and fun with her children and their friends.

She lived for her children and grandchildren, always putting their needs before her own.

She owned and operated two successful exterminating businesses. She later found herself running a successful real estate company where she added her personal touch to every condo she rented. She made lifelong friendships with her colleagues and clients.

She was all about working hard and having fun. She loved to travel by cruise, train, and automobile. She rarely would jump on a plane, except in her later years to enjoy her special trips to her favorite resort: the Melia in Nassau Beach, with her family.

We will keep her in our hearts forever.
