Ronald W. Van Horn, 84, husband of Barbara J. (Gephart) of Pottstown, formerly of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Born on April 16, 1941 in Port Providence, PA he was the son of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Myers) (VanHorn) Plavcan.

Ronald dedicated 25 years of his career to B.F. Goodrich before continuing at Superior Fuel Oil in Phoenixville.

He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Mont Clare, PA.

Ronald devoted over 55 years to the PMYC, where he served both as a coach and as a member of the Board of Directors, positively impacting many young lives through his commitment and passion for youth development.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Janette VanHorn.

5 Grandchildren, Derrick husband of Abby Wickward, Kimberly Wickward, Maxton Wickward, Tyler husband of Emily Van Horn, and Zachary Van Horn.

2 Great-grandchildren, Melody and Gemma Wickward.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristine Wickward, son, Todd VanHorn, and brothers, Robert, Ralph, and Harry Van Horn.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service in Devlin - Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 am with Debra Stevens officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Tree Cemetery.

A viewing will be held in on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
