Roger E. Caffier, 91, husband of his beloved late Jane (Bassett) Caffier of Phoenixville, PA, died on Saturday, May 22, 2021, in Seasons Hospice at Phoenixville Hospital following a brief illness.
Born on July 22, 1929, in Teaneck, NJ, he was the only son of the late Roger A. and Ruth (Fallot) Caffier. Roger proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War. He worked for the PQ Corporation in Valley Forge for 20 years where he held, among others, the position of international marketing consultant.
Roger was an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Phoenixville where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and in the HOPE Ministry. He was also a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Chemical Society. He supported many charitable organizations. He and his wife, Jane, lived abroad, and loved to travel internationally.
Roger was a special father and grandfather, and will be sorely missed. He is survived by four children: Roger H. and wife Linda M. Caffier, Gregory R. Caffier, David B. Caffier, and Kristin J. Caffier wife of Kevin Little; six grandchildren: Justin Caffier, Brett J. Caffier, Stephanie J. wife of Nick Haspel, Monika A. Caffier, Nikki H. Smith and fiancée Tiffany Do, Anna N. Smith; two great grandchildren: Graham Haspel and Kane Haspel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann Catholic Chapel, 604 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at 11:00 am with Rev. John J. Newns officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to either the Child Fund International, the Melanoma International Foundation or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
