Robert K. Arters, Jr., 68, husband of Dottie Arters of Phoenixville, PA died suddenly on Tuesday, February 7, 2017.

Born on September 14, 1948 in Phoenixville, PA he was a son of the late Robert K. Sr. and Evelyn (Rhubottom) Arters.

Bob completed his undergraduate studies at DePauw University in Indiana and went on to receive his Masters Degree from the Wharton School of Business.

He was a Public Accountant with his late father at R.K. Arters Associates in Phoenixville for many years. Dottie worked with Bob at the accounting office for the last 20 years.


In his early years, Bob served in the National Guard and umpired for the Kimberton Youth Athletic League and the Phoenixville Babe Ruth League.

He was a long time member of the Rotary Club of Phoenixville, the Phoenixville Chamber of Commerce, and the American Legion.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons:
Robert K. Arters, III and his wife Nicole
Adam W. Arters and his wife Leah
Craig Andrew Arters and his wife Megan
2 Step-children:
Stephanie Crowell and her husband Paul
Donald Knapke Jr. and his wife Catherine
7 Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his brother, Lee Arters

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the First United Methodist Church, 865 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 3:30pm. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 2:00 to 3:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Chester County Boy Scouts of America, 504 S. Concord Road, West Chester, PA 19382.
