Richard E. Herd, 69, husband of the late Deborah (Breslin) Herd, of Royersford, PA, died on Thrusday, March 2, 2017 in Phoenixville Hospital.
He was born on May 17, 1947 in Parkesburg, PA, and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked at the former Diamond Glass in Royersford, and then he was a cook at Southeastern Veteran's Center in Spring City, PA. For 26 years he worked parttime at the Caln Roller Rink in Downingtown, PA.
In the 80's and 90's he coached Little League in Royersford, PA. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 6341 in Royersford, PA.
Surviving are,
son, Donald and wife Jennifer Herd,
3 granddaughters,
Angel Herd,
Lisa Herd,
Amber Conway,
brother and sisters,
Jim, Carol, Bonnie, Gail, Mary,
and niece, Andrea.
He was preceded in death by son, Daniel Herd and brothers, Charles, Bob and Fred.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Father Donato Silveri officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
