Richard Durachko

Richard Emmanuel Durachko, 87, husband of Julia Marie (Coccio) Durachko of Phoenixville, PA, died on Sunday, October 15, 2017 in Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville, PA.

Born on May 21, 1930 in Mont Clare, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Fecak) Dzuryachko.

Richard was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, Class of 1948, where he was an all county defensive Football player.

He enlisted in the United States Navy where he served on the USS Newport News during the Korean War.

When he returned home from serving in the Navy he worked at the W. T. Grant Department Store from 1954 to 1975. He then worked at Taylor Rental Center, and was an Insurance Agent for the Knights of Columbus Life Insurance Company.

He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church in Mont Clare, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies fan, and was a history buff.

son, Michael Durachko of Phoenixville, PA,
son, Richard Durachko of Collegeville, PA,
son, James and wife Robin Durachko of Boyertown, PA,
daughter, Patricia Durachko and fiancée Timothy Ciotti of Douglassville, PA,
son, Robert and wife Karen Durachko of Pottstown, PA,
daughter, Susan Durachko and fiancée Brad Feick of Royersford, PA,

7 grandchildren,
Daniel, Nicholas, Benjamin,
Elizabeth, Grace, Jackie, Brandon,

and brother, Dennis Dzuryachko of Mont Clare, PA.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Bernadine Dzuryachko.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Divine Liturgy in St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, Amelia and Landis Streets, Mont Clare, PA, on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:30 am.

Burial will be private.
