Raymond John Hoffman

Raymond John Hoffman, 93, of Malvern, PA, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025. 

Born on August 3, 1932, Raymond lived a long and impactful life, marked by a diverse career. In his early years, he worked for the Pittsburgh Press, The Pittsburgh Playhouse, KDKA TV, and Big Brothers of America. After a stint as a manufacturer’s representative, he returned to marketing and advertising, and retired from BTC Marketing & Communications, but his dedication to his community continued.

 He was an active and engaged member of the Daemion Counseling Center, the T/E Parks and Recreation Board, the Devon-Strafford Little League, The Conestoga Gridiron Club, the Freemasons, the Kiwanis Club, and the Baptist Church of the Great Valley. Raymond's passion for writing also endured, as he continued to contribute to the Main Line Times & Suburban writing the Main Line Banter column until as recently as June of this year.

 He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marjorie J. Hoffman. Raymond is survived by his daughter, Laurie E. Tolle (husband Jim) and son, Keith R. Hoffman (wife Laura). He will be deeply missed by his five grandchildren: Victoria, David, Mitchell, Jack, and Barrett. 

A memorial service will be held later.
