Nathan Sallad, 74, husband of Marilyn (White) Sallad of Phoenixville, PA, died on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in Seasons Hospice.

Born on March 17, 1943 in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Elijah, Sr. and Christine (Brown) Sallad.

He was a maintenance worker at Lock 60 on the Schuylkill Canal and was a laborer for the former Lachman's Carpet Factory.

He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Phoenixville, PA and sang in the Men's Chorus.

He loved all kinds of music and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

He was a true man of faith who loved his family.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by:

Daughter, Alvita Sallad of Phoenixville;

3 Grandchildren:

Shanequa Jackson wife of Bernard Dontae Jackson of Owings Mills, MD;

Tyrell and Talahia Sallad of Phoenixville, PA;

1 Great Granddaughter,

Briyelle Jackson

2 Brothers:

James Sallad of Reading, PA

Elijah Sallad, Jr. of Sparta, GA

Sister, Christine Christie, wife of Nathaniel McAlister of Phoenixville, PA

Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Avis Anderson.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at Bethel Baptist Church, 412 Fairview Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11 am with Rev. Nathan Coleman officiating.

Burial will follow in Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville.

A viewing will be held at the church Friday morning from 9:45am to 10:45am.
