Nancy S. Pittock

Nancy (Schramm) Pittock, 78, wife of John W. Pittock, III of Charlestown passed away in the Paoli Hospital on Saturday morning, December 2, 2023.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on September 7, 1945 she was the only daughter of the late Daniel and Esther Mae (Fenstermacher) Schramm.  She graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelors in Education  and the received her Masters in Education from West Chester University.  For 32 years, Nancy taught Second Grade in the Phoenixville School District.

Nancy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville where was a member of the choir, Hand Bell Choir, Lydia Circle and taught Sunday School.  She was also a longtime member of the Kimberton Folk Dancers, the Charlestown Historical Society, the Altair Cohousing Group.  She loved to read, especially mysteries and romances; she also enjoyed cooking and was a lover of cats and tea.

In addition to her husband of 48 years, she is survived by a nephew,  Richard Hicks and relatives in the Wilkes-Barre area.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery Annex, Walnut Street, Berwick, PA on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11:00 am.

A Memorial Service for Nancy will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 865 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA  on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00 am.  There will be time for greeting following the service.
