Michael Thacker

Michael Thacker, 72, husband of Susan (Mitros) Thacker of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 in Lankenau Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Born April 28, 1950 in Pikeville, KY, he was a son of the late Uliss and Frances (Bain) Thacker.

Michael was employed and retired as a System Technician for Verizon. Following retirement, Michael worked as a school bus driver.

Michael was a big fan of the Eagles and Phillies, democratic politics, spending time with the family, and traveling on cruise ships and to Disney World.  

In addition to his wife he is survived by 4 children:

Susan wife of Dan McGrann;

Michael Thacker;

Amanda Handerhan;

Deborah wife of Justin Coppes.

4 Grandchildren, Sarah McGrann, Erin McGrann, and Brennan McGrann and Maxwell Coppes

6 Brothers and Sisters, Shelia wife of Andrew Anderson; Steven husband of Patti Thacker; Cindy wife of Jim Sexton; Christine wife of Kevin Dellinger; Colleen wife of Jeff Agnor; Tracy wife of Steve Hyatt. 

Brother-In-Law, Stanley husband of Bonnie Mitros.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main St., Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.

A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lankenau Medical Center Foundation and mailed to:
