Mary Kate Commiskey

Mary Kate (Williams) Commiskey, 63, wife of John J. Commiskey, Jr. of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at home.

Born on April 23, 1961 in Gettysburg, PA she was the daughter of Marian Ann (McLaughlin) Williams and the late John K. Williams, Jr. 

Mary worked as an Academic Advisor at Immaculata University. In addition to her advising role, Mary served as a Veterans Certification Officer for the university and was also the Immaculata chapter moderator of Alpha Sigma Lambda, an honor society that recognizes high scholastic achievements of the adult student. Mary helped hundreds of students achieve their academic and personal goals during her time at Immaculata.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Care for Friends (formerly "Aid for Friends") coordinator, and Rosary Maker's Guild. She volunteered for Toys for Tots, Abbeyfest at Daylesford Abbey, and St. Monica's Church/Parish. This was a collaboration between Catholic Relief Services and Rise Against Hunger to provide meals for the West African country of Burkina Faso.

In addition to her husband she is survived by 3 sons:

John James Commiskey, III and wife Angela Stanert Commiskey.

Collin Michael Commiskey;

Brandan Alexander Commiskey.

2 Grandchildren, John J. Commiskey, IV and Charlotte Grace Commiskey.

Brothers and sisters, Anne Williams, Mark husband of Mary Anne Williams, Sarah wife of Dennis Grandstaff, Elizabeth wife of Richard Weant, and Megan wife of Christopher Doll.

Sister-in-law, Lisa Williams.

She was preceded by brother, Chad Williams.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass in St. Ann Chapel, 602 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 10:30 am with Rev. John Newns officiating.

Burial will be private in St. Ann Cemetery.

A visitation will be held in the chapel on Friday from 9:15 am to 10:15 am.
