Mary Ann Louise (Olkewicz) Dempsey, 82, wife of the late Thomas Benjamin Dempsey of Collegeville, PA, passed away Thursday May 7, 2026.
Born December 8th, 1943 in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna(Rindosh) Olkewicz.
She was employed by the Suburban Cable Company for many years as a customer service supervisor.
Mary Ann enjoyed camping, trips to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. She also had a unique claim to fame, appearing as an extra in the original 1958 film, “The Blob” as one of the theater goers escaping from the Colonial Theatre. Mary Ann was known for her vibrant spirit and joyful personality. She was truly the life of the party, loved being surrounded by friends and family, and was always ready for new adventures.
She is survived by her children: Lisa, wife of Raymond Haas, Thomas, husband of Carol, Dempsey II, Renee Hawkins, Joanna, wife of Daniel Engle.
Grandchildren Jonathan, Brandi, Alexis, Dezirae, LeeAnn, Tommy, Savannah, and Deja.
Brother, Joseph John Olkewicz Jr.
Services are to be determined.
