Madeline S. Iswalt

Madeline Stillman Iswalt was 76 years young when she left to be with her husband, Richard, in Heaven on their 54th Anniversary: Wednesday April 15th, 2026. "Maddy" was lovingly seen off by her adoring children at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

A long-time Phoenixville resident, she was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on August 12th, 1949 to Edgar Stillman and Mary Sherwood Stillman.

 Maddy graduated as Valedictorian of her high school class before attending Harcum College in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania. 

Shortly after, she met her husband and the love of her life, Richard Iswalt Sr., at work in 1967. They were married on April 15th, 1972 at St. Thomas of Villanova Church.

Maddy's greatest joy was spending time with her husband and children. Anything related to cats was a not-too-distant second.

Her family: son, Richard Iswalt, Jr.; daughter, Mary Iswalt, wife of Ryan Kretschmar; brother Joseph Stillman; and nephews Robert Iswalt Jr, Eli and Sam Stillman will forever honor her life and the love she gave.

A memorial service will be held at Devlin-Gatcha Funeral Home 517 S Main Street Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday, May 9th at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place between 10:00 - 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
