Louis J. Ianni

Louis J. Ianni, 96, husband of the late Helen E. (Rainey) Ianni of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Woodbridge Place.

Born on April 1, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late John and Teresa (Martinelli) Ianni.

He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II.

He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and then was a Supervisor at Synthane-Taylor until retirement.  He then worked as a custodian at Schuylkill School.

Louis enjoyed woodworking, making furniture, vegetable gardening, cooking, and above all he loved being with family.

He is survived by 4 children:
Helen wife of Thomas Burnley, Sr.;
Nancy Ianni;
Linda wife of Charles Detwiler;
John Ianni.

4 Grandchildren:
Aileen wife of Josh Sobel;
TJ husband of Ashley Burnley;
Megan wife of Mark Schroetel;
Rachel Young.

6 Great-grandchildren, Hazel Schroetel, Henry August Sobel, Sonny Parker Sobel, Aria Malloy, Leah Rose Burnley, and Kayla Rose Burnley.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Francis Ianni and Joseph Ianni, and sister, Teresa Sweigart.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Ann Catholic Church, 502 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.

A viewing will be held in the church on Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 am.
