Lillian I. Neborak

Lillian I. (Fedick) Neborak, 88, Limerick, formerly of Phoenixville, wife of Paul Neborak, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, in Phoenixville Hospital.

Born on January 2, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Isabella (Kozma) Fedick.

Mrs. Neborak graduated from Immaculata College and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education.  This led to a teaching position at Phoenixville High School for several years.  After her marriage and the arrival of two daughters, she often substituted at both the junior and senior high schools.  Later she accepted an assistantship from Villanova University where she obtained a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling.  She was then employed as a Guidance Counselor at Northern Chester County Technical School, where she also served as sponsor of the National Honor Society and participated in the graduation ceremonies.

Mrs. Neborak was an active lifelong member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church.  She was also active in several outside activities:  President of Phoenixville Junior Women's Club, Phoenixville Hospital Auxiliary, Soroptimist International, and Phoenixville Historical Society.

She was extremely devoted to her family as a mother and grandmother, always being active in her family members' lives.

In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by two daughters: Cynthia, wife of Joseph Wozniak, and Lisa, wife of Robert Urbani, Jr.; three grandchildren: Amy, wife of Shaun Snyder, Jennifer, wife of Kyle Retallick, and Beth Urbani; five great-grandchildren: Luke, Matthew, and Brody Retallick, Charles Joseph "CJ" and Jean Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Paul R. Urbani, and brother, Thomas, husband of Charmaine Fedick.

A viewing will be held in Devlin - Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm.  A Panachida Service will be held on Sunday at 5:00 pm.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Divine Liturgy with Funeral Service in St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, Amelia and Landis Streets, Mont Clare, PA 19453 on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 10:30 am, with a viewing starting at 9:30 am.

Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
