John R. Szuchan, Jr., 82, of Phoenixville, PA passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in Paoli Hospital.
Born on February 24, 1938 in Phoenixville, PA he was the son on the late John and Kathryn A. (Olearsek) Suchan.
He worked as a Tire Builder for Goodrich Tire Company in Oaks, PA and then maintenance at St. Peter's Place and Episcopal House.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church and formerly Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a member of the St. Nicholas of Myra Council, Knights of Columbus - Mont Clare, Friendship Fire Company, Liberty Fire Company, and Santa Anna Italian Club.
John was a huge Green Bay Packers fan.
He is survived by 2 sons, John Szuchan, III and Sam Szuchan.
2 Grandsons, Anthony and Sam, Jr.
Brother, Richard and wife Carolyn Suchan.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Suchan and former wife, Joanne Pereni.
A viewing will be held in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp and Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. A Funeral Service will be held in St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, Amelia and Landis Streets, Mont Clare, PA at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus, St. Nicholas of Myra Council, 203 Jacob Street, Mont Clare, PA 19453.
