John Mormello
July 30, 1953 — October 25, 2019
John R. Mormello, 66, of Phoenixville, formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away at home on Friday evening, October 25, 2019.
He was born on July 30, 1953 in Philadelphia to the late Walter and Rosalie (Piontkowski) Mormello.
He started his working career as a Philadelphia Police Officer in the Highway Patrol Unit for 13 years and then went off to work as a loss prevention manager for K-Mart and then Walgreen's.
John loved the ocean, especially visiting Cape May as well as doing yard work.
He is survived by:
long time companion and best friend, Christy Cetrulo; sons, John Jr. (Kim) Mormello, Matthew (Jeanae) Mormello, and Brandon (Jackie)Mormello; grandchildren: Stanley, Paul, Charles, and Emily; sister, Paula (James) Trainor, brother, Walter (Patty) Mormello; and his beloved dogs: Jax, Frankie, and Percy.
Funeral Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville, PA West Chester, PA 19382.
