John Anciborenko, age 87, beloved husband of Stephanie (Dombrowski) Anciborenko of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, July 11, 2026, at Paoli Hospital.
Born on August 12, 1938, in Poltava, Ukraine, John was the cherished son of the late Gabril and Oryshka (Diachenko) Anciborenko. A graduate of Villanova University, he went on to build a successful career in the Computer Sciences industry, spending much of his professional life with Computer Sciences Corporation and the Franklin Mint.
John swept Stephanie off her feet at a polka dance, and the two went on to share more than 50 years of marriage, celebrating a remarkable golden milestone together. John was deeply devoted to his family and always willing to lend a helping hand. Those who knew him will remember his meticulous nature and his commitment to doing things the right way. Rather than simply completing a task, John took the time to teach others, generously sharing his knowledge, patience, and experience.
He found great enjoyment in cheering for the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, pursuing his passion for woodworking, and caring for his home. A proud and devoted grandfather, John especially treasured attending his grandsons' soccer and ice hockey games, always eager to congratulate them on their effort.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Stephanie; his son, Christopher, and Christopher's wife, Tara; and his grandsons, Gabriel and Sullivan.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Devlin-Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the funeral home from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
In honor of John's memory, memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation at t2t.org.
