Joan C. (Redmond) Barbera, 87, wife of the late Stephen J. Barbera of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at home.

Born on November 4, 1936 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Boyd and Mary Eleanor (Baum) Redmond.

Joan focused mainly on being a great single mother of her three children and later attained here license to be a Hairdresser, then worked as a Leasing Agent for many years and in recent years was a receptionist for the family real estate business.  She loved to entertain and be with her friends around the coffee table, spend time with her grandchildren and watch her favorite television programs.  

She is survived by 3 sons:
Chuck Barbera husband of Alison Saunders;
Scott husband of Irene Barbera;
Mike husband of Audrey Barbera.

11 Grandchildren, William, Sophia, Ryan, Noah, Abrie, Chris, Amanda, Lauren, Carly, Christopher, and Mary.

4 Great-grandchildren.

Brother, Lawrence Boyd Redmond, Jr. and sister, Virginia McCook.

A Graveside Service will be held in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 225 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11:00am, followed by a celebration of Joan’s life at the Desmond Hotel (a DoubleTree by Hilton), One Liberty Place, Malvern, PA 19355 at 12:30pm.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Brandywine SPCA, 121 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
