Jill C. Peirson

Jill C. Peirson, 63, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023, at her home.

 

Born on June 14th, 1959, in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Betty (Taglieber) Peirson.

 

She was a graduate of Phoenixville Area High School, Class of 1977. She went on to earn a BA degree in accounting from Bloomsburg State College, Class of 1981, and later completed her studies with a Master's degree from St. Joseph's University in 1989.

 

Jill worked for many years as a financial analyst for Burroughs/Unisys International Division, Hewlitt-Packard and MedDecision in Chesterbrook.

 

She was a lifelong member of St. Ann Church.

 

Jill was very active for decades with PMYC sports programs, serving as a coach in both field hockey and softball before eventually leading the programs as Commissioner. She was also instrumental in raising funds for all Phoenix High sports programs through her efforts with the Phoenixville High Boosters. In 2007, Jill was presented with a Citizen Recognition Award for her tireless efforts on behalf of area youth by the Borough of Phoenixville.  She was elected to the Phoenixville High School Sports "Hall of Fame" in 2012. 

 

Jill loyally followed all the Philadelphia pro sports teams, attending events year round with family and friends.

 

She is survived by 3 brothers:

James R. Peirson, Jr, husband of Carol

John D. (Jack) Peirson

David W. Peirson, husband of Debora

 

Nephews James Hoy, Daniel Peirson and Matthew Peirson

 

Aunt Jane A. Peirson

 

Lifelong friend, Janice (JR) Weiss, husband Frank, Caitlin and Benjamin

 

Many cousins and many more friends.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, 502 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, April 11th, 2023 at 11:00 am.

 

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.

 

A viewing will be held at Devlin Rosmos Kepp and Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Monday, April 10th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm and on Tuesday in the church from 10:00 to 10:45 am.
