Jean Marie (Mackey) Schwartz, 77, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, after a brief illness.
Born on December 12, 1948, in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy (Detwiler) Mackey.
Jean graduated from Phoenixville High School and furthered her education at Katharine Gibbs Business School. Her professional journey included a notable tenure with American Express, but she is fondly remembered for her many years at the iconic Val-Rio Diner. Affectionately known as Jeannie, she touched the lives of many friends and neighbors.
An active member of her community, Jean was a member of the former Calvary Bible Church, now known as New Story Church. She participated in the Hobby Club, taught Sunday School, and supported the People-to-People Mission.
Her door was always open, and she loved being around younger generations.
She is survived by her children, Joseph (Laura) Schwartz , Pam Schwartz, and Bryan (fiancée Rhonda Bertoncini) Schwartz , two granddaughters, Keighley Young and Jaye-Ann Schwartz, former spouse, William Schwartz, sisters Dorothy (late Gene) Dye, Deborah Mackey, and beloved nieces, nephews, and their children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James (Elizabeth Howard) Mackey.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 12:00 noon, at:
