Janice Duerr

October 7, 1946 — October 2, 2016

Janice D. (Rudick) Duerr, age 69, of Phoenixville, passed away Sunday October 2, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Dennis C. Duerr with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.
Born in Phoenixville, she was the daughter of Isabel (Nagy) Rudick of Phoenixville and the late Joseph F. Rudick.
She was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, Class of 1964, Penn State University; Class of 1968 where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Education and continued her graduate work at East Stroudsburg University and Penn State.
Janice was a dedicated and beloved kindergarten teacher for the Phoenixville Area School District for over 30 years and was a loyal Penn State Alum.
She was a member of Delta Cappa Gamma Society, the Red Hat Society and an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Phoenixville.
In addition to her husband and mother, Janice is survived by her son: Christopher D. Duerr and his wife Jennifer of Phoenixville and her daughter: Catherine R. Flanagan and her husband Sean of Baldwin, MD. Her grandchildren: Grace and Lily Flanagan and Henry and Annaliese Duerr. Her brother: Joseph A. Rudick and his wife Joanne of Phoenixville. 4 nephews and 2 nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 11 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville. Burial will be held in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
A viewing will be held at Devlin, Rosmos, Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home and Cremation Services 517 S. Main St., Phoenixville on Friday evening from 6 - 8PM and at the church on Saturday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 AM.
