James R. Acito, Jr., 90, husband of the late Virginia E. (LaSerre) Acito of Pottstown, PA passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026.
Born on December 31, 1935 he was the son of the late James R. Acito, Sr. and Martha (Middleton) Acito.
He honorably served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War.
A devoted member of Berean Bible Church, James found joy in fishing and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia 76ers. He dedicated his career to working as a bookbinder for American Baptist Churches. He loved classic cars and had a big collection of miniature model cars which he displayed in a curio cabinet, and he loved being involved in the planning and attending of the Men’s monthly breakfast at his retirement community.
8 Grandchildren; Karalee, Christopher, Scott, Nicholas, Joseph, Shane, Dylan, and Ethan.
5 Great-grandchildren; Josephine, Isabella, Emmeline, Kai, and Kowen.
Sister, Jaqueline McLain.
Many cousins.
Preceded in death by his brother, Frank Acito.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service in the Devlin - Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 11:00 am.
Burial will be private.
A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
