Helena M. (Pribula) Deegan, 91, wife of the late Paul J. Deegan, Sr. of Linfield, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at home.
Born on April 12, 1934 in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Barnaik) Pribula.
Helena graduated from Phoenixville High School and was Salutatorian of the Class of 1952 and member of the Honor Society. She received the Freedom Foundation award for her graduation speech.
She was the Branch Manager for Phoenixville Federal Bank and Trust at Phoenixville and Kimberton.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Phoenixville Senior Center and Phoenixville Senior Circle at Phoenixville Hospital.
Her hobbies included traveling, painting, arts and crafts, and gardening.
She was an excellent cook and had her own cake business. She was a trained Wilton decorator and instructor.
She loved spending time with her family and has too many accomplishments to list. She was proud of every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild. She would like to be remembered for being a leader, being kind, friendly, ambitious, caring and loving.
She is survived by 7 children:
Diane Deegan;
Paul Deegan, Jr. husband of Susan Deegan;
Veronica wife Michael Antecki;
Linda Deuber;
James husband of Tracey Deegan;
Lisa wife of Kevin Ruth;
Maria wife of Brian Carroll.
18 Grandchildren.
Many great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 11:00 am with Rev. Charles O'Hara officiating. A viewing will be held in the church prior to Mass from 9:15am to 10:45 am.
Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
