George Christopher Ponis

George Christopher Ponis, 63, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at home of natural causes.

Born on June 14, 1959 in Phoenixville, PA he was the son of the late George E. "Duke" Ponis and Mary Jane (Lynch) Ponis.

He was a Union Carpenter and then started his own painting business.

Chris was a lover of nature and loved canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.  He was proud of his hometown and enjoyed being with friends.

He is survived by sisters and brother:
Mary Lynn August;
Jack Ponis;
Susan Porter.

Nieces and nephews, Jessica August, Ken August, Korrine Porter Day, John Ponis, and Melissa Ponis.

Great nieces and nephews, Skyler, Noah, Averi, Duke Levi, Dean, AJ., Ava, and Alyssa.

Preceded in death by nephew, Levi Dillon Tremblay.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service in Devlin Rosmos Kepp and Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 am.

A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Mary's Franciscan Shelter,  209 Emmett Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
