George Raymond Havrilak

George Raymond Havrilak, 90, husband of the late Margaret L. (Emery) Havrilak of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 in Phoenixville Hospital.

Born on April 28, 1932 in Beaverdale, PA, he was the son of the late George and Helen (Valko) Havrilak.

George served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Phoenix Steel Company in Phoenxiville, PA and then the Southeastern Postal Service in Devon, PA.

He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, American Legion Post 460 in Beaverdale, PA, Friendship Fire Company, and Polish Club in Phoenixville.

He is survived by 6 children:

George Quay, Jr. and wife Cynthia Quay;

Michael Quay and Frank Potopa;

Lori Heath and Bill Watkins;

Raymond John Havrilak husband of Angela Havrilak;

Andrew Havrilak;

Maryann Havrilak.

7 Grandchildren, Robert Zahorchak, Christopher Zahorchak, Ryan Zahorchak, Heather Whalen, Maggie Heath, Josh Havrilak and Jonathan Havrilak.

5 Great-grandchildren, Reid Zahorchak, Grant Zahorchak, Allie Zahorchak, Tyler Glace, and Jacob Glace.

Sister, Catherine McGough.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Havrilak, daughters, Sherry Zahorchak and Kathleen Whalen, brothers, John Havrilak, Andrew Havrilak, and Jim Havrilak, and sister, Mary Kirk.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Divine Liturgy in St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, Amelia and Landis Streets, Mont Clare, PA on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Andriy Kovach officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.

A viewing will be held in church on Friday from 12:00 to 1:15 pm.
