Frank Brewer

Frank Brewer, 92, of Kimberton, PA passed away peacefully in August 2025. Frank was born in Kimberton in 1932 to the late Frank and Mildred Brewer. He spent a great deal of his time growing up on his grandfather James Brewer’s farm in Kimberton. He attended East Pikeland Elementary School and graduated from Phoenixville Area High School. He met his wife, Sylvia at the Gateway Pharmacy when it was a popular soda fountain hangout in the 1950s. They both participated in the High School band. He served in the US Navy on the USS Midway in the 1950s.

Throughout his long life, he enjoyed being active outdoors, eating healthy and socializing with his many friends. Frank insisted on doing things his way. He studied metallurgy at Temple University and worked as an engineer until age 79. He remained in his family home until his final week. He was proud to be a veteran of the US Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Brewer and brothers Jack and Robert Brewer. Frank and Sylvia lived in Jacksonville, FL near the naval base where Frank was stationed, before moving back to Kimberton where they raised 3 children: Francine Kochel (Dave), Kathleen Brewer-Smyth (Thomas M), and Frank J Brewer (Lorelie). He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lou Whitcomb (Robert); grandchildren: Brian Allie, Kristi Lancaster, Clayton Brewer, Miranda Shrum; 7 great grandchildren, a niece and nephews.
