Frances C. Ewing

Frances C. (Brickhouse) Ewing, age 82, beloved wife of James I. Ewing, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday evening, August 22, 2025.

Frances was born on September 29, 1942, in Norfolk, VA, to the late Grady Francis Brickhouse and Sybil (Pinkham) (Brickhouse) Pieczonka. Throughout her life, Frances exemplified the virtues of love and kindness as a devoted wife and mother. She was an active member of Grace Assembly of God Church in Spring City, where she generously dedicated her time to support the children’s daycare program.

Frances leaves behind a loving family, including her husband, James, and their three children: David Ewing, Debra (wife of Patrick Trowbridge), and Rich Ewing. She cherished her eight grandchildren: Susan Lopez, David Ewing, Shane Ewing, Angela Schnovel, Timothy Ewing, Caitlin Ewing, Abigail Ewing, and Ava Ewing. Additionally, she was blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Olivia, Maiya, Alexis, Destinee, Alex, Finley, Autumn, and Heath.

She was preceded in death by her son, Allen Ewing; her granddaughter, Amber Trowbridge; and siblings: Ray, Roger, Nancy, and Grady.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Frances's life at her Funeral Service, to be held at Devlin - Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Chris Czuchra officiating. A viewing will take place on the Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Spring City, PA.

Frances will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her dedication to serving others. May she rest in peace.
