Elsie A. (Colatosti) Kovach, 97, wife of the late Alexander C. Kovach of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Born on October 3, 1926 in Stowe, PA she was the daughter of the late Sabastian and Mary (Panfile) Colatosti.

Elsie began work at Parson and Baker Knitting Mill, before going on to run the cafeteria at the West Company.  She was the co-owner of the Tri Corners Luncheonette on West Bridge Street and then ran the cafeteria at Sears in Valley Forge.  In her later years she was a crossing guard at Main Street and Third Avenue for 20 years.

She was a Phoenixville Democratic Committee Woman and had served as Chester County Registrar.

She loved animals, especially her Bella, Buddy, and Kitty.

She is survived by 3 children:
Alexander C. Kovach, Jr. husband of Pat;
James J. Kovach husband of Lynda;
Carol K. wife of David Mitchell.

8 Grandchildren.

14 Great-grandchildren.

1 Great-great grandson.

Brothers and sister, Vincent Colatosti, Lorraine Hine, and Alfred Colatosti.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Kovach, 2 grandchildren, Joseph Kovach and Emma Kovach, 2 sisters, Eleanor Kuterbach and Anna Modica, and brother, Pat Colatosti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in Parkside United Church of Christ, 505 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 12:00 pm.

Burial will follow in Morris Cemetery.

A viewing will be held in church on Thursday from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Main Line Animal Rescue, 1149 Pike Springs Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
