Dr. David Rosen

Dr. David Rosen, 81, formerly of NE Philadelphia, passed away Friday Jan 19, 2018 in his home at the Abramson Center for Jewish Life.  David served people as an Internist at the former Frankford Hospitals (1962 to 1997); and known for his philosophical approach to medicine, which combined science with a strong patient-doctor relationship.  Most notably he contributed his services to treat underserved populations, including new Americans and patients with Legionnaire’s Disease and AIDS.  David is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Merna (nee Toland), his children: Felicia, Gregory (Virginia) and Howard, and his granddaughter, Jordyn.  He is also survived by two brothers, Leonard and Allan and their families.  Graveside Service at B’nai Jacob Cemetery, Lovers Lane, Mont Clare, PA at 1:00 pm on Sunday Jan 21st.
