David S. Knauer

David S. Knauer, 64, of Mont Clare, PA passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

Born on April 15, 1960 he was the son of the late Robert H. Knauer, Sr. and Lorraine (Readman) Knauer.

He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.  He was a Sexton at church and also on the bowling team.  He was also a member of American Legion Post 602, VFW Post 1564, Friendship Fire Company, Mont Clare Fire Company, and Liberty Fire Company where he shot pool on the Schuylkill Valley Pool League.

He graduated from Perkiomen Valley High School, Class of 1981.  

David enjoyed bowling, swimming, dancing, and "bartending" at the garage.  Also doing crafts.  David was quite the jokester.  He loved socializing with family and friends.  Also, collecting obituaries of family and friends.  He was amazing at recalling date from memory.  David loved the Walton's Show and participating in the Special Olympics.

He is survived by brothers and sister:
Lloyd husband of Mona Knauer;
William Knauer and his companion Luan Ollie;
Robert H. Knauer, Jr. and his companion Janette Pumilia;
Lorene wife of Kevin McCorkle.

2 Nieces, Amanda and Stephanie.

2 Great-nephews, Dalton and Dillon.

Many cousins and friends.

He was preceded by his special Aunt Alra Readman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in Otterbein United Methodist Church, 181 Walnut Street, Mont Clare, PA on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow in Green Tree Cemetery.

A viewing will be held in church on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
