Catherine A. Verish

Catherine A. (Cushman) Verish, aged 93, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Verish.

Born on May 16, 1933, in Swedesburg, PA, Catherine was the daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Jarosz) Cushman. Throughout her career, she worked at J.R. Hollingsworth in Phoenixville and Diamond Glass in Royersford, before retiring as a cafeteria worker with the Phoenixville School District.

Catherine was a devoted member of St. Ann Catholic Church. She delighted in visiting casinos, traveling, playing bingo, and enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter, Bernardine Jeffers; her step-children, Barry Verish and Vicki Klinger; and her grandchildren, Shawna Slater, Nicole Aliko, Kerry Verish, Carly Verish, Seth Verish, and Scott O'Connell. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Verish; step-son, James Verish Jr.; and her siblings, Raymond, Stanley, Mary, Theresa, Andrew, and Thomas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at the Devlin - Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

Burial will be private in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.
