Casmir Michalski, 97, of Phoenixville, PA passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, May 1, 2026. He was the husband of Marilyn E. (Lange) Michalski and the late Betty (van Wormer) Michalski who died in 1972.
Casmir was born on June 2, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Josephine (Tybor) Michalski. He received a Bachelors of Science from Cleveland State University. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Casmir worked as a Chemical Engineer at Pennwalt Corporation until his early retirement. Then he was a Certified Safety Engineer for professional companies in the Philadelphia area until 2002.
He was an active tennis player in many organizations and was a winner of the PA Senior Men's Tennis Games, achieving First Place in 1991 and First Runner-Up in 1992. He and his wife Marilyn played on a mixed doubles team, and they also loved to travel, especially to Europe.
In addition to his wife of 46 years, Marilyn, he is survived by a son from his first marriage, John F. Michalski. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Kissling.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Devlin - Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 6:30 pm.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 6:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to The Nature Conservancy, 4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203.
