EADDY, BRIAN W.

Age 51 of North Cape May, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 surrounded by family and loved ones.    He was born in Queens, NY and had been a Cape May resident since 2015.  Since 1998, Brian lived with Parkinson’s disease and died from complications associated with the disease.   Brian was raised in Old Westbury, NY and graduated from Chaminade High School (’84) in Mineola, NY and went on to receive a BS in Mathematics (’88) and MS in Statistics (’91), both degrees from the University of Vermont, in Burlington, VT.   Brian held senior management positions as a statistician for Chase Manhattan Bank and AOL Time Warner in New York and The Credit Index, in Mount Olive, NJ.    Brian grew up sailing in Long Island Sound and that led to a life-long devotion and appreciation for the sea.   In addition to Cape May, Brian had lived in Burlington, VT, Naples, FL and Chester, NJ.   Over the years, Brian was a tremendous outdoorsman and in addition to sailing, enjoyed skiing, fishing, ocean and lake activities, and NASCAR speed car racing.  Brian’ s favorite sports teams were the New York Islanders and Miami Dolphins.  Brian is survived by his parents Vasker and Margaret Eaddy of Lewes, DE; his brother Robert (Katherine) and niece, Jane- Margaret, nephews Weldon and Samuel, all of Gladwyne, PA.    There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, 75 Post Avenue, Westbury, NY 11590.  Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY.   Donations in memory of Brian Weldon Eaddy may be made to Chaminade High School, 340 Jackson Avenue, Mineola, NY 11501 or the American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.
