Barbara M. Hughes

Barbara M. (Schell) Hughes, 82, wife of the late John D. Hughes of Upper Providence, PA passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025.

Born on August 7, 1942 in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late Henry A. Schell, Jr. and Mary (Cank) Schell.

She worked in the office at Warner Lime Company in Devault and then was the Tax Collector for Upper Providence Township for 24 years.

She is a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.

She is survived by her sister, Jane wife of the late Harry Robbins and brother, Fred husband of Ruthann Schell. Aunt Barb was a second mother and grandmother to her many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry A. Schell, III.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Ann Catholic Church, 502 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.

A viewing will be held in church on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 am.
