Augustus Cotteta

Cotteta , Gus of Norristown, PA died on August 12, 2017 in Iquitos, Peru.

He is survived by his children Louis, Elizabeth, Sarah and former wife Natalie Cotteta of Trooper, PA. He is also survived by brothers Salvatore Cotteta of Harleysville, PA and James Cotteta of East Norriton, PA. He was the son of Augustus and Caroline Cotteta both whom are deceased. He joins his son Jacob Cotteta in death. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Salvatore, Christopher, Anthony, Morgan, Carly, Chelsea, Bryn, Daniel, Nicholas, Keith, Jennifer, Albert, Matthew, Kyra, Peter, Jordan, Christian, Luca, Ella and Lilly.

He was a graduate of Norristown High School and attended college at Temple University.

Gus was vibrant and energetic. He was the owner and operator of his own Commercial Landscape Contracting Corporation for more than 20 years in the Norristown and surrounding areas. He serviced many local apartments complexes and restaurants while employing and training many local residents.

He always made an impression with customers, family, and friends. He had a love for animals and could often be seen tending to horses, goats, and chickens. He will be missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1260 S. Trooper Road, Norristown, PA, on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:00 am.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.

Visitation will be held in the church on Saturday morning from 8:45 am to 9:45 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates any donations to be made to "The Cotteta Kids Fund" 2623 West Main Street Trooper, PA 19403. A fund established for the future education and care of the children.
