Lawrence E. Grimm

Lawrence E. Grimm, 76, of Phoenixville, PA, died 31 October 2017 at Paoli Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Lawrence (nee Fisher) Grimm and Elizabeth McNally Grimm.

Most recently, he retired as a business executive and President of two local companies - B.E. Wallace Products and Amram Ltd. Larry started his career as an electrical technician with General Electric in Philadelphia, PA. With the advent of the Apollo space missions in the 1960's, he accepted a transfer to work on new technologies regarding the space programs and their associations with the G. E. Honeywell Corporation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was a 1958 graduate of Media High School, in Media, PA. After graduation, he served 3 years in the United States Army, based in Fort Knox and South Korea, as an airplane mechanic. His interest in flying had developed at a young age and he became a pilot at the age of 15. He remained an avid lover of airplanes and historical firearms throughout his lifetime.

He had a strong sense of community service, and was a proud member of the Masonic Community Lodge No. 744, F & AM in Broomall, for 40 years.

Surviving are his wife, Diane M. Grimm of Phoenixville; a daughter Susan Morgan (Paul) of Glenmoore, PA; a son, Dr. Lawrence Grimm (Jane) of Dallas, TX; grandsons Paul and Andrew Morgan, Stephen and Mark Grimm; a nephew Bryan McMahon, nieces Payge McMahon and Dina Darling (Steve); three step children, Sherry de Carville, Betty Schwenk and Justin Hallman.

Services will be private. Please contact immediate family for further details.
