Gregory Nakonecznyj, 74, husband of Marion (Barnansky) of Gilbertsville, PA died suddenly on Saturday evening, October 5, 2019.
Born May 11, 1945 in Germany, he was a son of the late Mykolaj and Tekla (Rava) Nakonecznyj.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked at the former B.F. Goodrich Tire Co. in Oaks, and then worked as an electronics technician at Decision One in Frazer. After retirement he worked as a driver for Kulp Cars in Gilbertsville.
Greg was active member of Holy Ghost Orthodox Church where he sang in the choir, was part of the pirohi making crew, and A.C.R.Y. He was also a member of the Pottstown AARP Bowling League at Limerick Bowl.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, David and wife Kim Nakonecznyj; daughter, Stephanie wife of David Farnsworth; grandchildren: Nathan and Madelyn; sister Jean Hensler, and brother Zeniov and wife Barbara Nakonecznyj.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, Starr and Bridge Streets, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Mont Clare.
A Panachida Service will be held at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday evening at 6:15 pm. Viewing will be from 6:30 to 8:00 pm
There will an additional viewing time in Holy Ghost Orthodox Church on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 9:45 am.
